Skyline is 2-8 against Blackfoot since May of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Grizzlies are taking a road trip to challenge the Broncos at 3:30 p.m. Skyline is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Skyline took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Rigby by a score of 17-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Isaac Jensen looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Hayden Nahay was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Skyline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Blackfoot came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Tigers 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Broncos have posted since April 8th.
Blackfoot got a big performance out of Easton Cannon, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Cannon is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Jace Cooper was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Skyline is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Blackfoot, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6.
Skyline couldn't quite get it done against Blackfoot in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Grizzlies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
