The Bell Griffins were the 54-27 winner over the Woodson Warriors when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Bell fell just short of Woodson by a score of 49-46. Bell has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Griffins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Antonio Washington, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Cire WIlson, who scored 12 points.
Bell bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Woodson, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Anacostia at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Anacostia is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Woodson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bard at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
