Jefferson is 10-0 against the Bulldogs since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Jefferson Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Broadwater Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. Jefferson is coming into the game hot, having won their last 15 games.
Jefferson can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They breezed by White Sulphur Springs at home to the tune of 76-34. Jefferson pushed the score to 55-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hornets had little chance of recovering from.
Jefferson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryian Eveland, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Eveland hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of MacKenzie Layng, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and six assists.
Meanwhile, Broadwater wound up with the same score they had in their last game (53-48), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Broadwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Everything came up roses for Jefferson against the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 65-35 win. With Jefferson ahead 34-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
