Our look at high school basketball's best from the 2024-25 season continues with the MaxPreps Sophomore All-America Team, highlighted by National Sophomore of the Year
Scottie Adkinson of
Webster Groves (Mo.).
Adkinson averaged 24.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.5
assists and 2.2 steals per game to lead the Statesmen to the Class 5
state championship. In a 67-56 win over Summit Christian Academy (Lee's Summit) in the title game, the 6-foot-2 guard produced 29 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Regarded as a top 50 prospect in the Class of 2027 by 247Sports, Adkinson joins a list of winners that includes R.J. Barrett, Cameron Boozer, Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga, Jayson Tatum and Andrew Wiggins.
Selections are based on team success, individual production and local, regional and state honors from the recently-completed season. Potential at the college and professional level is not a primary consideration. Players on post-graduate or non-scholastic programs are not eligible for inclusion.

Although his numbers weren't quite as impressive as last season when he earned MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year honors, Roebuck pumped in 19.7 points and four rebounds per contest against a challenging schedule for the Matadors (25-7).

Earned MVP of the Class 2A state tournament after leading the Knights (22-5) to their first state championship in over 50 years, producing a game-high 34 points in a win over Prosser in the title game.
