The Jefferson Blue Jays had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were the victim of a rough 53-28 defeat at the hands of Sullivan on Monday.
Jefferson's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Neels, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Wood, who scored 3 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sullivan, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Jefferson will look to defend their home court on Monday against DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. As for Sullivan, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Pius X on Friday. St. Pius X will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
