The Atkins Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Lamar Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atkins is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Atkins had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Wonderview on Monday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Daredevils. The Red Devils not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th (when they won 10-0).

Ethan Linboom made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Ethan Hillis looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
Linboom wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kade Bartlett, who went 2-for-4 with one triple. That's the most hits Bartlett has posted since back in March. Another was Cooper Goodall, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lamar didn't have quite enough to beat Cossatot River on Friday and fell 8-7.
Zaxton Aldridge led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadan Crotts, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Atkins pushed their record up to 6-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lamar, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Atkins beat Lamar 3-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
