The Miller Place Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 54-37 fall against Rocky Point. Miller Place has struggled against Rocky Point recently, as their match on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Ava Zicchinelli and Brooke Callaghan certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Zicchinelli scored 15 points, while Callaghan scored 10 points. Zicchinelli scored a full 40.5% of Miller Place's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Miller Place's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rocky Point, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Miller Place will head out on the road to face off against Bellport at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Rocky Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
