West Rowan found a leader in Maddox Moore as the squad took down Alexander Central on Wednesday. Moore wasn't messing around, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with two or fewer walks.

Looking ahead, Moore and West Rowan will head out on the road to challenge Northwest Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
