That's the most hits Maness has posted since back in April of 2024. Another was Haylee Ortiz, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Knox City scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 21-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Munday. Even though they lost, the Greyhounds' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 7.6 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Aubrey Lerma was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Reyna Alvarez was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Even though they lost, Knox City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
