Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Monroe

Monroe extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Nehemiah Tinch. The Monroe Golden Tornadoes blew past the New Faith Christian Academy Titans , posting a 76-37 victory thanks in part to Tinch, who went 9 for 10 en route to 21 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

James Adams was another key player, putting up two points and five assists. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Monroe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for New Faith Christian Academy, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-11.

Monroe will challenge Terrell County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Terrell County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.
