Beardstown is a perfect 10-0 against Camp Point Central since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Tigers will host the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. Beardstown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Friday, Beardstown got the win against Seymour by a conclusive 12-4.
Starkin Sena Fajardo tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Colby Desollar, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Bell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Beardstown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .432. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seymour only posted a batting average of .241.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Camp Point Central was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Seymour, falling 15-2.
Nate Peters made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Garrett Neisen, who went 3-for-4 with one double.
Beardstown's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Camp Point Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Beardstown was able to grind out a solid victory over Camp Point Central when the teams last played back in March, winning 6-3. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
