The Neuse Charter Cougars will be home for the holidays to greet the Dixon Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Neuse Charter has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 13.
Neuse Charter fought the good fight in their overtime match against Henderson Collegiate on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 74-63 to the Pride. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Tuesday (57), Neuse Charter still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Neuse Charter got a solid performance out of Jayvin Bradley, who scored 35 points. Bradley scored a full 55.6% of Neuse Charter's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyron Crippen, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-35, which was the final score in Dixon's tilt against Southwest Onslow on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dixon in their matchups with Southwest Onslow: they've now lost seven in a row.
Neuse Charter bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Dixon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
