Softball Recap: Sachse's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Sachse managed to slip by Wylie East the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sachse Mustangs came up short against the Wylie East Raiders on Friday, falling 12-6. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cailyn Shane made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Shelby Siratt, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Sachse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Sachse's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Wylie East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sachse will head out to face off against North Garland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sachse is facing North Garland at the right time seeing as North Garland is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Wylie East will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Garland at 12:30 p.m. on March 18th.
