Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Murray). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 77-74 win over the Riverton Silverwolves on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since February 7, 2024.

Murray got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Davies out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Davies a new career-high in boards. Kaiden Nelson was another key player, going 8 of 11 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds.

Murray was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Riverton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryker Kerekes, who went 8 of 20 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Berrett, who made all 5 shots he took to post 14 points.

Murray moved to 6-8 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Riverton, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6.

Murray wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-64 win against Stansbury on the 7th. As for Riverton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-57 victory against Fremont on the 7th.
