Volleyball Recap: Nashville's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of ten wins, Nashville's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freeburg Midgets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Midgets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

While Nashville had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19.

Emma Behrmann paced Nashville's offense, picking up seven kills. Behrmann got some help from Rylie Neuhaus and her eight assists. Samantha Brinkmann controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Nashville's defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Freeburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-12 record this season.

Nashville is taking a road trip to challenge Murphysboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gibault Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
