The West Broward Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the American Heritage Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (West Broward 3.8, American Heritage 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

West Broward got a great performance from Braden Aguila as he struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave Aguila a new career-high.
At the plate, Reggie Rodr?guez and Lenny Sufran did most of the damage at the plate: Rodr?guez went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Sufran went 1-for-2 with one home run. Ethan Lindor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, American Heritage didn't have quite enough to beat Cardinal Gibbons on Tuesday and fell 4-3. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Santiago Montiel was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dylan Dubovik was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Harrison, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
West Broward's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for American Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. West Broward hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like American Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
West Broward beat American Heritage 9-5 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
