After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wynot, the Bloomfield Bees were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 48-42 W over Tri County Northeast. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bloomfield also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Madison Abbenhaus was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 30 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Bloomfield's points. Another player making a difference was Tenly Gilsdorf, who scored 6 points.
Despite the defeat, Tri County Northeast had strong showings from Mica Tornez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Shantel Miller, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Miller scored a full 28.6% of Tri County Northeast's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Bloomfield back to even at 1-1. As for Tri County Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Bloomfield and Stuart will face off without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Tri County Northeast, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Siouxland Christian.
