The Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 39-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wolsey-Wessington. Sunshine Bible Academy lost against the Warbirds in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-14 score last time.
Sunshine Bible Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sadie Konechne, who scored seven points along with six rebounds. Abby Hinman was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight steals.
Sunshine Bible Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Wolsey-Wessington, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highmore/Harrold the next time they take the court. Wolsey-Wessington will host Highmore/Harrold at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, while Sunshine Bible Academy will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
