The Compton Tarbabes's ten-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Morningside 64-36 on the road. The victory was just what Compton needed coming off of a 78-57 defeat in their prior game.
Jashon Finley was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Oshon Mitchell, who scored 16 points.
Compton's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14. As for Morningside, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11.
Compton will square off against Claremont at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Claremont is ranked 1097th, while Compton is ranked 1085th). As for Morningside, they will head out on the road to square off against Inglewood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Inglewood and Morningside are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
