Sheridan is a perfect 10-0 against Lake Hamilton since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will host the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Sheridan's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Lake Hamilton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Sheridan took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Pine Bluff get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 11 contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Rayleigh Umholtz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Sheridan got a massive performance out of Skylar Sterritt, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, five stolen bases, and three runs. Those five stolen bases gave Sterritt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Averie Redd, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Sheridan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while it was Lake Hamilton who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Arkansas who put up more. The Wolves came up short against the Razorbacks, falling 15-3. The Wolves have struggled against the Razorbacks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Ella Wilcox made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Sheridan's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Lake Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Lake Hamilton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sheridan has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .514. It's a different story for Lake Hamilton, though, as they've only averaged .343. Will they be able to contain Sheridan's hitters?
