The Bonny Eagle Scots are taking a road trip to challenge the Cheverus Stags at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Bonny Eagle is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Falmouth a 20-0 shutout on Thursday. The Scots haven't had any issues with the Navigators recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Bella Hanson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Leah Storey was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Reese Bryant was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Bonny Eagle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Cheverus strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against Marshwood as they made off with a 14-0 victory. Fans of the Stags have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Bonny Eagle, Cheverus also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison DeRoche. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. DeRoche was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Hailey Lamontagne was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
Cheverus pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 13.7 runs thus far. As for Bonny Eagle, their record now sits at 4-2.
Friday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bonny Eagle has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Cheverus struggles in that department as they've averaged .594. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bonny Eagle came up short against Cheverus in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Scots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
