Tokay has gone 8-1 against Bear Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Tigers will venture away from home to  challenge the Bruins  at 7:15  p.m.
Tokay is headed into the  matchup having just  suffered their biggest  loss since September 20, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Chavez 55-27.
 Tokay's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Jayden Barba, who threw for 257 yards and three  TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt, and  Gael Garcia, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Garcia was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 53 yards.
Meanwhile, the third road  game was the charm for Bear Creek, as they earned their first away  win of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Weston Ranch 49-12. The Bruins' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
Bear Creek's win came from a few key players Tokay will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Brody Chan, who threw for 228 yards and three  touchdowns on only 15 passes. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  passer rating (149.3).  Jeremiah Robertson helped  Chan out on the ground, picking up 65 receiving yards and one  score, while also rushing for 38 yards and one  TD.
 Bear Creek didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Weston Ranch to a completion percentage of just 22.7%. The team can thank  Krishen Binder for the heroic effort on defense: he. Bear Creek wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.
 Bear Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Taiwo Fakunle,  Apolosi Uhamaka,  and  Jalen Mcgee picked up one apiece.
 Bear Creek's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Tokay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Everything came up roses for Tokay against Bear Creek in their previous meeting  back in September of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  47-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
