Leading Dawson to victory were Journey Lovett and Kennedy Smith. Lovett scored 11 points along with three steals, while Smith scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kendall Ford, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Dawson's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Port Arthur Memorial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Dawson will be playing in front of their home fans against Alief Taylor at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alief Taylor and Dawson are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Port Arthur Memorial, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Neches-Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
