The Orleans Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Borden Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Orleans will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
In what's become a running theme this season, Orleans gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 65-20 win over Perry Central on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-9.
Rylan Crocker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ian Hall, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Even though Borden has not done well against Henryville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Borden walked away with a 58-46 victory over Henryville. The victory was just what Borden needed coming off of a 74-44 loss in their prior game.
Orleans' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Borden, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
Everything came up roses for Orleans against Borden when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 61-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orleans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
