The Centura Centurions entered their tilt with the Centennial Broncos with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Centura enjoyed a cozy 54-35 victory over Centennial on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Centura also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Kyra Wooden, who scored 26 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Davis, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Centura has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centura will take on St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Centennial's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fillmore Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Fillmore Central is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
