Baseball Recap: Fayetteville-Perry's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Fayetteville-Perry had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 back in April.

Parker Pfankuch was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those RBI were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Fayetteville-Perry let AJ Roy and Alex Williamson run wild. Roy went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Williamson went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Williamson has posted since back in March of 2024. Ryder Luncan was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Fayetteville-Perry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Fayetteville-Perry picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-10. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Fayetteville-Perry will challenge Miami Valley Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, they will venture away from home to challenge Lynchburg-Clay at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Blue Jays surely won't give up without a fight.
