The result was a vexing reminder to Aletheia Christian Academy of the 48-11 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Aletheia Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Riley Glazier. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Glazier scored a full 45.2% of Aletheia Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Martin, who scored 5 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pensacola Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Porter, who scored 10 points along with 9 steals. Another player making a difference was Genesis Coker, who scored 11 points along with 7 steals.
Aletheia Christian Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aletheia Christian Academy will challenge Jones Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Rocky Bayou Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocky Bayou Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pensacola Christian Academy in Florida (Rocky Bayou Christian is ranked 125th, while Pensacola Christian Academy is ranked 282nd).
