On Thursday, Bowen was able to grind out a solid victory over Metro-East Lutheran, taking the game 58-51.
Bowen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rashad Jackson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wright, who scored 17 points.
Bowen's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Bowen is on the road again on Thursday and play against Breese Central at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Breese Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Metro-East Lutheran and Jersey will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Jersey is ranked 496th, while Metro-East Lutheran is ranked 515th).
