Douglass had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Independent on Friday as they made off with a 36-14 win. That result is just more of the same for Douglass, who also won the last time these teams played. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Next week, Douglass take on Garden Plain at 7:00 PM. Independent will look to defend their home turf next week against Sedgwick.
