Washington (Miami, Fla.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 21-9 victory over
Northwestern (Miami, Fla.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Treon Harris touchdown pass to
Shaquille Green in the first quarter, the Tornadoes led 7-3 at the half.
Washington expanded its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored once in the quarter on a Harris touchdown run.
Northwestern's only touchdown came on a 5-yard pass in the fourth quarter.
The Tornadoes came into the game allowing 7.0 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Northwestern, who notched a 27-26 victory over Norland in its previous outing. The loss broke Northwestern's two-game winning streak.
