The Freedom Patriots will venture away from home to  take on the Pasco Pirates  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Freedom is coming into the  contest on  a  five-game losing streak.
Freedom is headed into the  game out to prove that what happened against Fort Meade  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Patriots took a  blow against the Miners, falling  48-21. The Patriots were down  28-3 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Pasco had to suffer through  a    52-17 loss at the hands of Cypress Creek. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by  exactly 35  points.
Freedom will have to contain  Gio Reyes as he made an impact in Pasco's last game. He rushed for 110 yards on only eight carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards. Reyes' longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.
 Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 11 in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Sage Stinyard, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 Even if they lost, Pasco's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department,  Matthew Cloversettle was the leader with two.
 Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Everything went Freedom's way against Pasco in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, as Freedom made off with  a  35-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
