Hixson's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wilson Warriors a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Hixson moved to 9-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Wilson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hixson will venture away from home to face off against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hixson is facing East Ridge at the right time seeing as East Ridge is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Wilson, they will head out on the road to square off against Hughes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
