The Judson Rockets will head out on the road to challenge the Brandeis Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Judson is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, Judson had just enough and edged San Marcos out 54-51. Given Judson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while San Marcos is ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brandeis was handed a three-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against SA Roosevelt last Friday. Brandeis took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 66-35 win over SA Roosevelt. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, as Brandeis did.
It was another big night for Rian Forestier, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 32 games she's played. Abigail Burdette was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Judson is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season. Brandeis' record now sits at 24-11.
Judson came up short against Brandeis in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 56-48. Can Judson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
