After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Friday, Walsenburg came back down to earth. The Walsenburg Panthers were beaten by the Mitchell Marauders 48-19 on Tuesday.

Leading Mitchell to victory were JayCionna Fisher and Isabella WIlkInson. Fisher had 27 points and seven boards, while Wilkinson dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Fisher has scored at least a third of Mitchell's points. Another player making a difference was Jessica Romero, who put up six points.
Walsenburg has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. Mitchell's win ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-19.
