East Union has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Houlka Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, East Union was the victim of a rough 63-43 loss at the hands of New Albany. East Union has struggled against New Albany recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Houlka fought the good fight in their overtime contest against East Webster on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Wolverines 64-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Hayes Paden, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Neal Moore was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 14 rebounds.
The losses dropped East Union to 3-3 and New Albany to 6-1.
East Union was taken down by Houlka 79-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Will East Union have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
