Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Falls Church). They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Lewis Lancers on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.

Griffin Wishrad made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Falls Church: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 3-4 otherwise. Wishrad was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on James Schaal, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Conner Elling was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Falls Church was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Falls Church's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.
