The Cullman Bearcats won the last time they faced the Decatur Red Raiders, and things went their way on Monday too. Cullman came out on top against the Red Raiders by a score of 57-48.
Decatur lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jennifer Mitchell, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Mitchell has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kimora Bailey, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Cullman's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-13. As for Decatur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season.
Cullman has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alabama (Pell City is ranked 83rd, while the Bearcats are ranked 107th). Decatur does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
