The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for GVCS Broadfording in their matchups with Shalom Christian Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
GVCS Broadfording's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Shifler, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brandon Monroe, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
GVCS Broadfording's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Shalom Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
GVCS Broadfording will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Musselman at 7:30 p.m. Musselman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than GVCS Broadfording in their respective states (Musselman is ranked 25th in West Virginia, while GVCS Broadfording is ranked 241st in Maryland). As for Shalom Christian Academy, they will face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
