After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three contests, The Barnwell Warhorses finally came back down to earth on Friday. They suffered a rough 33-7 loss at the hands of Hampton County. Barnwell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Despite the loss, Barnwell still got an impressive performance from Jaquan Peeples, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Zion Dobson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 273 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Dobson hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for ten straight games.
Barnwell's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hampton County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barnwell will take on Lake Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hampton County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop England at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
