After a string of 11 wins dating back to last season, the Ewing Blue Devils's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They took a hard 65-46 fall against Morris Catholic.
Morris Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mia Pauldo led the charge by scoring 17 points along with five assists and three steals. The match was Pauldo's third in a row with at least ten points. Tatianna Collins was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Ewing's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Morris Catholic, the win was the 17th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ewing's road trip will continue as they head out to face Princeton Day at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Morris Catholic, they will face off against Boonton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
