Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Chaffee should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Hayti at 7:00 PM. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-42, which was the final score in Chaffee's tilt against Cabool last Friday. Chaffee were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.
Meanwhile, Hayti simply couldn't be stopped, as they easily beat Charleston 70-8. Hayti were heavily favored coming into this matchup, and the results showcase why.
Hayti's win lifted them to 3-0 while Chaffee's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Hayti's success rolls on or if Chaffee are able to steal their positive momentum.
