After flying high against the Lambert/Richey R&L Fusion on Friday, the Culbertson Cowboys came back down to earth. Culbertson was beaten by Plentywood 65-23 on Saturday. Culbertson has not had much luck with Plentywood recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Culbertson saw an underclassman step up: Micah Eagle Boy scored four points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eagle Boy has scored all season.
Culbertson now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Plentywood, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Culbertson will head out on the road to face off against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Fairview is ranked 55th, while Culbertson is ranked 78th). Plentywood will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Culbertson at 5:30 p.m. on January 20, 2024.
