Battlefield has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Freedom Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Battlefield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They had to suffer through a rough 57-29 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. Battlefield has struggled against Gainesville recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Freedom took a serious blow against Osbourn Park on Wednesday, falling 63-23. Freedom was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.
Battlefield's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Freedom, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
Battlefield was able to grind out a solid win over Freedom when the teams last played last Tuesday, winning 45-37. Will Battlefield repeat their success, or does Freedom have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
