Canyon View is a perfect 3-0 against Notre Dame Prep since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Canyon View will face off against Notre Dame Prep at 11:00 a.m. Canyon View will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Canyon View's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Thurston hitters got past them. Canyon View put the hurt on Thurston with a sharp 16-10 win on Friday. Considering the Jaguars have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Santoyo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli McBryde, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Canyon View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .515 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Horizon on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 4-2. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ashton Higgins was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Notre Dame Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Higby, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. Layne Henry was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Canyon View's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Notre Dame Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Notre Dame Prep's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Canyon View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .379. It's a different story for Notre Dame Prep, though, as they've only averaged .258. Will they be able to contain Canyon View's hitters?
