Central Cambria hasn't had much luck against Forest Hills recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Central Cambria will look to defend their home field against Forest Hills at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Forest Hills will be up against a hot Central Cambria squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went Central Cambria's way against Bishop Carroll on Saturday as Central Cambria made off with a 12-2 win.

At the plate, Rocco Barra and Logan Black did most of the damage at the plate: Barra went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Black scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Black a new career-high. Grady Snyder was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
Central Cambria always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Carroll only posted an OBP of .280.
Meanwhile, Forest Hills never let their opponents score on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Chestnut Ridge. That looming 13-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rangers yet this season.
Xander Richardson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Chase Williamson was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Bryce Roberts, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Central Cambria's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.3 runs this season. As for Forest Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Central Cambria has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .516. However, it's not like Forest Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .496. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Central Cambria was able to grind out a solid win over Forest Hills when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-3. Will Central Cambria repeat their success, or does Forest Hills has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
