The North Augusta Yellow Jackets will face off against the Lexington Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
North Augusta gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on South Aiken with a sharp 11-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.
Lia Allen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs.
In other pitching news, Eleanor Brummond looked comfortable as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

Back at the plate, Ayla Holmes and Emily Cloy did most of the damage at the plate: Holmes went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Cloy went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave Cloy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Geddes, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
North Augusta hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lexington won against White Knoll on Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Wildcats blew past River Bluff 11-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won nine contests in a row.
Lexington pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for North Augusta, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
North Augusta might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Lexington in their previous matchup on April 2nd. Will the Yellow Jackets have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
