Meanwhile, Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 20-14 to Weeki Wachee. Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Central saw an underclassman step up: Timothy Gaynor rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
Umatilla's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
