The Indian Springs COYOTES will challenge the Mesa Grande Academy Cardinals at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Indian Springs will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against California School for the Deaf-Riverside on Tuesday. The COYOTES blew past the Cubs 27-12. With that victory, the COYOTES brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.

Jaslene Hernandez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and 11 unearned) runs off four hits. Hernandez was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Nataly Pardo and Alissa Yniguez did most of the damage at the plate: Pardo got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs, while Yniguez scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Pardo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandizabella Hernandez, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Mesa Grande Academy made easy work of Public Safety Academy two weeks ago and carried off a 25-13 win. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Phoenix recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Like Indian Springs, Mesa Grande Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Melody Bender. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Bender was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 6-for-6 with three stolen bases, five runs, and seven RBI.
In other batting news, Mesa Grande Academy got a massive performance out of Esther Koahou, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Brityn Chase was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
With the win, Indian Springs broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9-1. As for Mesa Grande Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
