It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Westminster Christian Acadmey Wildcats had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past Deshler with a 39-35 win. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Brandon Musch was his usual excellent self, rushing for 189 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 111 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory makes it two in a row for Westminster Christian Acadmey and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Deshler, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Westminster Christian Acadmey will take on Brooks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Brooks is ranked 135th, while Westminster Christian Acadmey is ranked 133rd). Deshler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
