Barringer put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Ferris 43-6. That result was just more of the same for Barringer, who also won the last time these teams played.
Ferris's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Jamar Best, who picked up 68 yards on the ground. In fact, with nine tackles Best was a force on both sides of the ball.
The victory bumped Barringer's record up to 4-1. Ferris are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Next week Barringer take on Orange at 4:00 PM. These teams both seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Ferris, they will face off against Dickinson. Both of those teams have had a rocky road up to this point with five consecutive losses for Ferris and four for Dickinson.
